The Horn Shark (Heterodontus francisci) is a small shark species found in the Western Coast of North America. Reigning from the bullhead shark family they have a blunt head, a tan or beige body, and black spots all ovr their body, juveniles will have darker more intense spotting that will fade a bit into adulthood. They typically reach a maximum size of 36 inches in captivity, though they can reach sizes exceeding 40 inches in the wild. They should have ample room to swim and should be housed in an aquarium of at least 400 gallons. They should be fed a variety of crustaceans or carnivorous preparations. They should not be kept with smaller fish, as they may consume them.
